Positive Degree
Definition
Adjectives that denotes the mare quality of a Noun or Pronoun but does not show any kind of comparison is called Positive Degree; as,1. He is a good boy.
2. Judy is a beautiful woman.
3. Shaikh is a wise man.
4. We are tall men.
As good, beautiful, wise and tall add something to the meaning of noun or pronoun, but do not compare to other ones.
Comparative Degree
Definition
The Comparative Degree shows comparison between two nouns or pronouns of the same class(or kind)Or
The Comparative Degree shows higher degree of the quality than the positive and is used when two things are compared; as,
1. You are older than I.
2. Gold is dearer than silver.
3. John is wiser than Rock.
4. Lion is stronger than horse.

Than is used after comparative degree.
Superlative Degree
Definition
The Superlative Degree shows Comparison of one noun or pronoun among more than two of the same class(or kind)Or
The Superlative Degree shows the highest degree of the quality and is used when more than two things of the same class (or kind)
1. Mr. Johnson is the best teacher in our school.
2. He is the tallest man in our village.
3. Asia is the biggest continent in the world.
4. The Indus is the largest river in Pakistan.
