Definition:
A Personal Pronoun is so called because it stands for a noun.
They are three in numbers:
1. First Person Pronoun.
2. Second Person Pronoun.
3. Third Person Pronoun.
1. First Person Pronoun
The Speaker (called the First Person)
Singular: I (spelled with a capital letter)
Plural : We (The speaker and one or more others)
2. Second Person Pronoun
The person spoken to (called the Second Person Pronoun)
Singular: YouPlural: You
3. Third Person Pronoun
The person or thing etc. Spoken of (called the Third Person Pronoun).
Singular:He (for male)She (for female)
it (for things also for the living things whose sex is unknown or unimportant e.g. ant).
Plural:They (for living being and other things)
Remember!
Nominative Case:
I, We, You, Thou, He, She, It, and They are always used in Nominative Case;as,
1. I read a book.2. We wrote letters yesterday.
3. You eat an apple.
4. He bought a new book.
5. She sang a new song.
6. It runs.
7. They do their home work.
Objective Case:
Me, Us, Thee, You, Him, and them are always used in Objective Case;as,
1. Father punished me.
2. Mother loves us.
3. Karim saw him.
4. A snake bit her.
5. Lion will kill you.
6. Boys welcome them.
