i. Joining two nouns

Jack and John are real brothers.

ii. Joining a noun and a pronoun

Jeevan is fat but I am thin.

iii. Joining two adjectives

These are good as well as bad.

iv. Joining two adverbs

He writes quickly but legibly.

v. Joining two verbs

He tried but failed.
