Numeral Adjective

Definition:

Adjective of Number shows the definite or indefinite number of a person or a thing, or in what order a person or a thing stands. 
 Or
Adjectives of Number show how many persons or things meant or in what order a person or thing stands; as,

1. Few cats.
 2. Many things.
 3. All men.
4. First day.
5. Five fingers.
6. Some apples.
7. Several mistakes.

There are three kinds of Numeral Adjectives.
i. Definite Numeral Adjectives.
ii. Indefinite Numeral Adjectives.

1.Definite Numeral Adjectives

Definition: 

Definite Numeral Adjectives show an exact number; as

One, two, three, four, five, ---etc

First, second, third, fourth, fifth, ---etc

Definite Numeral Adjectives are further divided into:

1. Cardinal Definite Numeral Adjectives.
2. Ordinal Definite Numeral Adjectives.

Cardinal Define Numeral Adjectives

Definition:

Cardinal Definite Numeral Adjectives are used in counting things; as,
one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten,-----------

Ordinal Definite Numeral Adjectives

Definition

Ordinal Definite Numeral Adjectives are used to show the order of things in Series; as,
First, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, nineth, tenth------

Indefinite Numeral Adjectives

Definition:
Indefinite Numeral Adjectives do not show an exact number of things; as,
1. All the letter.
2. Many students.
3. Few dogs.
4. Some tea.
5. Any body.
6. Much milk.
7. Several mistakes.
8. More money.

Distributive Numeral Adjectives

Definition

Distributive Numeral Adjectives are those which refer to each one of a number or group, as;

1. Each boy must do his home-work.

2. Every man should do his duty.

3. Either pen will write.

4. Neither man is honest.
