Definition

Possessive Adjectives are used with nouns to show possessions; as,

1. My books is new.
2. Our knives are blunt.
3. His mother is ill.
4. Her father is an engineer.
5. Its leg is broken.
6. Their union is strong.
In above sentences underlined words are Possessive Adjectives.

Possessive Adjectives are actually Possessive Pronouns the difference is that after possessive adjectives noun is used immediately, while in possessive pronouns verb is or are is sued.
